English

Established in 2000, the Department of English holds the historic distinction of being the first in the region to offer English as a major subject. Today, it stands as the sole academic centre in the entire district providing a complete spectrum of higher education in English across Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes.

Enriched by a proud academic heritage, the department thrives under the visionary leadership and mentorship of Prof. Mukesh Raval (HOD, UG), Dr. Mihir M. Dave (HOD, PG & Ph.D. Guide), and Dr. Nailesh Patel. Grounded in a student-centric pedagogy, the department places a strong emphasis on nurturing literary creativity, critical inquiry, and advanced communication skills. Its enduring commitment to excellence is reflected in its distinguished alumni network, which includes numerous Ph.D. awardees, NET and GSET qualifiers, and accomplished professors and teachers serving across prestigious institutions.
