The college results at UG and PG level regularly outpace the University’s average results. The students of the college get placement mostly in academic fields as well as in the police and the army. A number of students have also joined government administrative services after clearing competitive exams.
GDMCA inculcates a strong set of values amongst its students through various activities conducted by its NSS and NCC units and through several other cultural and academic activities. Every year, the college’s NCC arm participates in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi; and participates in other national expeditions and training camps. The students of this college shine in the sports arena too, participating in various inter university competitions; and have made their mark in cricket, hockey, net ball, football, judo etc.
We take great pride in the fact that we were the first in the entire North Gujarat region to go through National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation process in 2004; and were once again reaccredited in 2014 with Grade “B” and AAA accreditation with Grade “A”.
The Women’s Development Centre of the college is a platform involved in counselling and sensitising students towards their rights, obligations, responsibilities and liberties, which will eventually help them grow into responsible citizens.
The institution tries to keep pace with the changing educational scenario by adding classrooms as required and introducing technological devices like LCD projectors and sound systems to assist learning. The college has a well-equipped language laboratory where the SCOPE programme is being run and the BISAG Facility enables students to watch lectures of various experts on T.V. The college has a very good library stocked with a large number of books on various subjects; as well as e-learning resources like INFLIBNET (Information and Library Network Center) and N-LIST. There is a separate research library facility as well.
Certificate courses in English Speaking, English Grammar, Sanskrit Speaking, Poetry and Story Writing in Gujarati.
